The brainchild of Planet 19 Media Productions, Planet 19 Presents began production in 2005, shedding light on a growing community of digital video artists. The show quickly expanded to include local filmmakers and performance artists. Season One was well received as it aired 4 nights a week in Chicago and surrounding suburbs on channels 19 and 35. P19P features local artist’s creations, thus providing an outlet for free promotion, artistic explanation and insight. Comedic skits by Sassafrass Productions and weekly Death Stick competitions are also featured. | Partnering with the Art Institute, and venues including Griffin’s, Silvies, Tonic Room, Martyrs, & Wise Fools Pub, P19P spotlights Chicago artists in their element. This season, we are happy to introduce ToJo Gallery as our studio interview space. Season Two is now underway and the crew is touring music venues, galleries, and performance houses bringing the best up and coming Chicago talent to the airwaves.
